Sliding Scale Pricing

I believe that everyone deserves access to abortion support, regardless of income or resources.

I offer a sliding scale to honor the range of financial realities people live in, while also sustaining myself as a care worker.

This is a trust-based system. You know your situation better than anyone else. I don’t require proof of income, but I ask you to reflect honestly on your resources, access, and stability when selecting your rate. If you’re not sure where you land, the guide below can help.

Choosing a higher tier helps subsidize care for others. Choosing a lower tier allows you to receive support from your community.
Both are valid, and both are valued.

Sliding Scale Tiers

Tier 1 – Community Supported

You might choose this rate if:

  • Meeting basic needs (food, housing, healthcare) is a struggle or not always possible
  • You receive or are eligible for public assistance (EBT, Medicaid, SSI, etc.)
  • You have no or very limited savings or expendable income
  • You’re facing debt incurred from survival necessities
  • You rent lower-end housing or are in an unstable housing situation

Tier 2 – Sustainable Rate

You might choose this rate if:

  • You can regularly meet your basic needs, even if it’s stressful sometimes
  • You have debt but it doesn’t limit your access to survival needs
  • You have a modest amount of savings for emergencies
  • You can occasionally buy new things or travel once in a while
  • You have stable housing and some financial breathing room

Tier 3 – Pay It Forward

You might choose this rate if:

  • You have steady income and savings, and don’t worry about meeting basic needs
  • You have assets like savings, retirement funds, investments, or property
  • You can comfortably take vacations and time off without financial burden
  • You own the home you live in or rent a higher-end property
  • You have access to higher education, generational wealth, or financial support

    Custom Care Plan

Looking for something more tailored? I offer custom care options to support your unique needs, whether that’s in-person presence, extended support across multiple days, travel to your location, or virtual care that goes beyond the calls listed above. That might look like more time together, extra calls before or after, or hands-on help like grocery runs, meal prep, or creating a cozy space (or, ordering your groceries and care items virtually).

If you’re outside the Philly area, I can also travel to you or meet you for care in another state. I often road-trip with my converted van, and can come to you with some advance notice. Travel cost depends on distance, but is often less than a flight and hotel.

If you’re not sure what you need yet, that’s okay too. Reach out and we can talk through it.

    Give Care as a Gift

Want to support someone you love who is having an abortion? You can gift my doula care to a friend, partner, or chosen family member who’s going through it. Reach out to gift care to your loved one.

    Need Care at No Cost?

If the low end of the sliding scale is not financially accessible to you, I may be able to support you through one of the grant-funded organizations I work with. If this applies to you, please reach out. I’d love to connect you with support options, either for grant-funded care with me or funded doula care in your area.

    As seen in

    what people are saying

I didn’t realize how much I was carrying until I started talking with Lorrae. I knew I was grieving and angry, but I didn’t have the words for it all. Lorrae never pushed me to explain my whole story or unpack my trauma. She just got it. She made space for my feelings, even when I couldn’t name them, and helped me move through it at my own pace. I felt really understood and seen, and it was the best support I think I’ve ever gotten for my mental health.

    TAYLOR

I’ve never had someone show up like that for me. I didn’t even know what I needed. I just knew I couldn’t keep doing it alone. Everything in my life has felt like survival mode for so long. This was the first time I felt supported without feeling like someone felt pity for me. Lorrae’s support felt like a soft place to land in the middle of everything else being so fcking hard. I cried so much on our first call just from the relief of being met like that. It felt like the first time someone saw me as human, not broken.

    RAINA

I’ve always been the one holding it together. Asking for help hasn’t felt easy or even possible for most of my life. But talking with Lorrae felt so natural and non-judgemental. I didn’t have to pretend I was okay or push everything down. I could show up messy and unhinged and it was totally okay. I started to understand what real support could feel like, not just in a crisis, but with any emotion.  through all of it, without trying to rush to fix it. I’m learning that I don’t have to carry it all alone anymore, and that asking for help can actually feel good.
